ENRIITC interactive brokerage event series
We are pleased to announce the next brokerage event in the series the ENRIITC project has launched, aiming to stimulate B2B and Academia-to-Business collaboration in the area of artificial intelligence and machine learning as applied to the field of health care developments.
The ENRIITC project has created a pan-European network of Industrial Liaison and Contact Officers (ILOs and ICOs) and enabled industry to become a full partner of research infrastructures. Whether as a user, a supplier, or a co-creator, ENRIITC supports the establishment of strategic, cross-border partnerships between industry and research infrastructures.
The aim of this series of brokerage events is to explore and realise networking and collaboration in cutting edge areas of science, across the widest cross-sectoral scope to benefit European competitiveness and beyond.
The Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) Revolution in Health Care, 30 June- 1 July 2022
The day will revolve around the three themes listed below:
- Development of AI/ML to make smart predictions about disease, responses to treatment, or diagnoses. Important in for example drug discovery and image processing.
- Trustworthy/human-centric/explainable data-driven AI in Translational Medicine.
- Intelligent infrastructures for healthcare and medicine such as federated learning. Big data use, involvement of big science institutes.
To set the scene the event will start with an introductory plenary session consisting of housekeeping matters for the day and three short keynote speeches by experts in each of the themes. This will be followed by interactive sessions in parallel on each theme, with the opportunity for participants to present themselves through short pitches and to engage in discussion in the groups. Each session will have a moderator. If participating entities would like to attend more than one of the theme sessions they are invited to nominate different persons, or if necessary attend more than one session part time.
Following these break out groups there will be an opportunity for 1 to 1 introductions.
The event will be free of charge and take place online, to lower the threshold for attendance by many participants internationally. Participating parties can opt to attend all the sessions or choose from the agenda schedule.
The event audience consists of large and small companies and institutes and research infrastructures potentially or actually engaged in the wide scope of health care developments exploiting AI and ML. Participants will be given the opportunity to present themselves through short pitches and interactive discussion as a basis for making new contacts and setting up collaborations.
